Work & Faith Collection

Seattle Pacific University’s Ames Library houses the Work and Faith Collection which consists of a wide range of resources addressing the ministry-in-daily-life movement. This collection of books and resources explores the intersection of Christian faith and work, faith and economics and business, faith and the professions, and vocation.

  • The collection numbers nearly 2,000 items for scholars and laypersons to discover, and stands as one of the most comprehensive and unique collections of material addressing Christian faith and work in the world.
  • A vibrant and growing resource, the Work and Faith Collection started with the initial donation of books and personal papers given by Pete Hammond in 2008. Hammond led work and faith initiatives for the parachurch organization InterVarsity for over 40 years.
  • The Collection has recently been augmented by the addition of the C. William Pollard Papers, a newly digitized set of personal papers donated in 2013 by Bill Pollard. Pollard served in positions of leadership with the ServiceMaster Company.
